By Jeremy Kirk

November 19, 2008 (IDG News Service) Computer systems at three London hospitals remained down on Wednesday morning after PCs there were infected with malware identified as a variant of the Mytob mass-mailing worm.

No patient data was at risk of being disclosed as a result of the infections, said William Mach, a spokesman for the U.K.'s National Health Service (NHS). But as a precaution, computers were shut down at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, the Royal London Hospital and the London Chest Hospital.
