I need a dedicated server to develop an online geospatial environment. The dedicated server should be an independent server.
I’d like to have a dedicated server with the following services provided:
- Linux OS preferably Ubuntu or Debian
- full root access
- operating system updates like kernel upgrades, security patches etc.
- server monitoring
- firewall and antivirus services
- denial-of-service attack protection
- DNS hosting service
- regularly backups and restoration
To build the online geospatial environment I’ve to install and configure at least the following applications: Apache Webserver, Apache Tomcat, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, LDAP Server. Probably I’ll need later yet other applications.
