PETALING JAYA: Wordware (M) Sdn Bhd and the New York-based EC-Council (www.eccouncil.org) will organise the inaugural Hacker Halted international conference and workshop conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Titled Defending against Cyber Terrorism and Managing Electronic Corporate Security, the event will be held on May 10-12 at the Renaissance Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Wordware said in a statement.
The event will be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, and is endorsed and supported by Multimedia Development Corporation, the Malaysian National Computer Confederation and the National ICT Security and Emergency Response Centre.
Conference topics will cover cyberterrorism threats, online sales security, money-laundering, industrial espionage, defending against corporate scams, international cyberlaw development and others.
There will be four workshop tracks: Certified ethical hacking, forensics, network security and cyberlaws.
Hacker Halted is aimed at chief information and technology officers, senior management in the private and public sectors, systems administrators, IT directors, network managers, security officers, auditors and others. The conference fee is RM2,399.
