The Packt Open Source Content Management System Award is designed to encourage, support, recognize and reward an Open Source Content Management System (CMS) that has been selected by a panel of judges and visitors to www.PacktPub.com.

If you’re a fan of a particular CMS or if you’re part of a CMS project team, then we’re looking for your nominations. We want to compile a list of open source Content Management Systems that will be put forward to win $5,000 and the title of Packt Open Source CMS, 2006. The five CMS’s that receive the most nominations will go forward to the final round. First runner-up and second runner-up will not go away empty handed, taking away $3,000 and $2,000 respectively.

มี CMS ตัวนึุงผมแนะนำมากๆ เลย เสียอย่างเดียว ไม่ใช่ Open Source (แต่ก็แจก source น่ะแหละ)

  • security = 9.5 [ตัว official ไม่มีทาง hack /inject ผ่านตัว CMS ได้ แต่หากลง plugins บางตัวอาจมีปัญหารูโหว่ขึ้นมาได้ แต่ไม่ร้ายแรงมาก]
  • installation = 8 [คนลงต้องมีความรู้ php / mysql พอสมควร สามารถใช้ phpmyadmin ได้ เพราะไม่มี installer ให้]
  • ease of use = 6.5 [ว่าลงยากแล้ว หัดใช้เริ่มแรกยากกว่าอีก เพราะระบบมันใหญ่ สามารถทำงานได้แทบทุกอย่าง]
  • ease of skinning = 9 [แก้ skin ไม่ต้องไปยุ่งกับ php code เลยซักนิด เพราะไม่มี tag ไหน hard code ลงใน php เลย]
  • ease of translating = 9 [แฟ้มแยกเป็นระบบดี]
  • ease of modifying = 9 [code เขียนถูกต้องเป็นระบบ ดูแลง่ายมากๆ]
  • speed = 9 [engine ออกแบบดีมากๆ query เกินความจำเป็นแทบไม่มี]
  • compatible = 10 [php 4/5 [register globals Off / safe mode On / disable exec function] , mysql 3.23/4.0/4.1/5.0/5.1 , IIS/apache/lighttpd/litespeed/ บลาๆๆ ใช้ได้หมด]
