To understand the future of Asian monarchies, we must first understand Asian society.
The twelve years I spent living and working in Thailand taught me not to judge Thai society by western standards. I also witnessed first hand and came to understand the devotion Thais have for their King.
Rather than discuss the future of Asian Monarchs, perhaps we might consider exactly what it is HRH Bhumibol might teach western leaders about public service.
Our own leaders have much to learn.
